Man taken into custody after barricade ends, charges pending

A man was taken into custody after barricading himself for hours at a residence on the Far South Side, Chicago police said.

Police alerted the SWAT team shortly after 12:15 a.m. Tuesday for a person with a gun who barricaded himself inside a residence in the 13300 block of South Michigan Avenue,

Police said the barricade situation ended about 2 p.m., and a man was taken into custody.

Charges are pending.
