At a cost of $150 per ticket, the Feb. 3 event will mark the the seventh annual “Town-Warming” by the Barrington Cultural Commission at Barrington’s White House. It is described in the release as “a Depression-era Barrington tradition that brought together some of the nation’s and our community’s most influential business, religious, academic, and civic leaders for a robust program covering significant issues of the day.”

Additionally, Barrington native and L.A. Times newspaper columnist Chris Erskine is scheduled to provide a “light-hearted respite,” and Jenny Riddle, a professional storyteller, will portray the late broadcast journalist Barbara Walters.
