Animal control looking for owner of puppies found in box
The Kane County Animal Control office is trying to track down the owner of five mixed breed pug puppies found Jan. 11 in a box along a road in unincorporated West Dundee.
Kane County Animal Control Administrator Brett Youngsteadt said the Kane County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a man who spotted the puppies and another larger dog that might have been the puppies’ mother. Police and animal control officers had no luck finding the other animal, he said.
The dogs were taken to the animal control office in Geneva, Youngsteadt said. If their owner cannot be located by Wednesday, Jan. 24, the dogs will be given full veterinary exams and put up for adoption, he said.
Anyone with information about the puppies or their owner should call 630-232-3555
