
Glenview police are continuing to investigate an armed robbery in which cash and a cellphone were stolen from man and a woman at gunpoint, authorities said.
On Dec. 22, shortly before 9 p.m. Glenview police responded to the 600 block of Milwaukee Avenue on a report of a man with a gun, later reclassified to “armed robbery,” police said in a news release. It said that a man and a woman were placing items into the trunk of their vehicle when a male offender approached them, pointed a gun at the victims and demanded their belongings.
The victims gave up their belongings and the offender entered a dark colored vehicle which left north bound through the parking lot, the release said. A cellphone and $1,500 in cash was taken during the robbery.
The offender was described by the victims as a “Black male, wearing a black ski mask, black clothing, and glasses with white colored frames,” said the release. It also said the victims “were not physically injured.”
