
Glenview police are asking for the public’s help after a woman tried but failed to rob a Chase Bank in the village on Tuesday, authorities said.

They said that shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday a woman wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black sunglasses, and two surgical masks, entered the bank in the 2800 block of Pfingsten Road and handed a note to a teller demanding cash. The suspect quickly left the bank on foot in an unknown direction without any money, police said.
They said no weapons were displayed or implied during the robbery and no employees were injured during the incident. The suspect is described as 30 to 40 years old, 115 to 120 pounds, 5’04? to 5’05? tall with shoulder length straight hair.
“This incident is currently being investigated by Glenview Police Detectives,” police said in a release. “There is no further information to release at this time.”
