, Bolingbrook police said.Sammy L. Gibson, of 275 Old Elm Drive, Bolingbrook, was arrested last week by the U.S. Marshals Service in Milwaukee and now is being held in the Will County jail, the police report said.
Stubblefield, 38, of the 200 block of East Bailey Road, was found dead Dec. 6, 2022, inside his car, which was parked in a lot in the 600 block of West Boughton Road in Bolingbrook. The cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds, the Will County Coroner’s Office said at the time.
Gibson was linked to the case through forensic evidence, details of which were not disclosed by Bolingbrook police.
Crime lab results obtained in October allowed Will County prosecutors to obtain an arrest warrant for Gibson on two counts of first-degree murder and one count of concealment of a homicide.
