Evergreen Park

AGGRAVATED ROBBERY: Victor J. Hughes, 65, 200 block of Clyde Avenue, Calumet City, was arrested and accused of aggravated robbery Oct. 19 at the Shell/Circle K, 10258 Kedzie Ave., after walking behind the service counter, grabbing packs of cigarettes and brushing past the clerk while stating he had a gun, police said. No gun was recovered, police said.

ILLEGAL GUN: Mark A. Spoon, 35, 7200 block of 112th Street, Worth, was arrested and accused of unlawfully using a weapon Oct. 23 at Durbins, 10240 Kedzie Ave., after officers responding to a fight learned he had a gun and valid Firearm Owner’s Identification Card but lacked a concealed carry license, police said.

New Lenox

ILLEGAL GUN: A Tinley Park man who failed to keep his firearm owner’s identification card active was arrested Monday and accused of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon after officers found a loaded gun in the vehicle during a traffic stop at Cedar Road and Hickory Street, police said. Officers pulled over Frank G. Abramowicz Jr., 40, 17000 block of Sayre Avenue, Tinley Park, for having suspended registration and determined he was driving on a suspended license and was wanted on a Will County warrant for failing to appear on a Frankfort suspended-license charge. Officers found the gun within reach of the driver’s seat during a search of the vehicle and learned Abramowicz’ FOID card had expired, police said.

Oak Lawn

ARMED ROBBERY: Two men wearing ski masks took more than 90 electronic devices and about $7,000 Tuesday at the AT&T store, 5251 95th St., during an armed robbery in which they bound the four employees with zip ties, police said. The duo entered the store’s front door shortly after 8 p.m., and bound employees’ hands and feet, loaded two bags with merchandise and fled the store, police said. THEFT: An armed man tried to steal a 2016 Ram pickup truck idling outside a gas station/convenience store in the 11000 block of Pulaski Road Oct. 18 but couldn’t figure out how to take it out of park, police said. The pickup truck owner, who’d left the vehicle unlocked and running when he went inside the store, returned to find the man holding his wallet in one hand and a handgun in the other, police said. The man entered a 2024 Honda SUV he had been gassing up and fled with the wallet, police said. The SUV, reported stolen out of Chicago, was found crashed and on fire Chicago’s Garfield Ridge neighborhood.

Orland Park

DUI CRASH: Cassandra Kahl-Lloyd, 66, 7800 block of Braeloch Court, Orland Park, was arrested and accused of drunken driving Oct. 3 in the 7900 block of Braeloch Court after striking a box on Braeloch Court while turning from Innsbrook Drive, hitting a parked pickup truck and then backing into a tree, police said.

Palos Hills

STORE BURGLARY: Four men broke into Rosie’s Video Gaming, 10301 S Roberts Road, on Oct. 14 and left with the cash register and a bag of chips, police said. Security video shows a stolen Hyundai Elantra driven into a handicap parking spot and the men throwing a brick through the glass front door and a window before entering, police said. The men fled in the stolen vehicle eastbound on 103rd Street. The cash register was later located in Cicero.

EQUIPMENT STOLEN: Three men stole auto-towing equipment Oct. 14 from a commercial yard in the 11340 block of Southwest Highway after cutting a hole in the fence. An employee at Alpha Carrier Experts yelled at the men during the theft, prompting them to flee with the equipment back through the hole to a white van.

Peotone

ARMED ROBBERY: Two men, brandishing a handgun, entered Peotone Tobacco & Liquor, 422 Governors Highway Oct. 16, held the employees at gunpoint and took cigarettes and cash, then left. There were no reported injuries.

Steger

ROBBERY: A 16-year-old who beat up another 16-year-old and stole his shoes Oct. 18 was arrested, processed and transported to the Will County Juvenile Detention Center in Joliet, police said.

University Park

BATTERY CHARGED: A University Park woman is charged with attacking two persons at a senior/disabled high rise on Friday, two days after her alleged first attack, according to Will County circuit court records online. Mary A. Anderson, 58, a resident of the 14-story Thornwood House, is scheduled to be arraigned Nov. 13 on a six-count charge of battery stemming from Oct. 18 and two-count and four-count charges of battery stemming from Friday, court records show.
