How can you not question what’s happening on Earth?
I can’t help wondering that if a superior form of intelligence were to suddenly land here, what would they make of us earthlings?
With the current conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, how could they not judge our method of settling disputes as anything but monstrous?
And with the chaos surrounding the choice of speaker of the House, they might recall that they suffered the same growing pains millions of years ago — before coming to the sensible conclusion that the governing process requires a bipartisan approach.
But their greatest confusion just might coincide with our very own; that is, how is it even possible we are destroying our planet with such a reckless disregard for climate change?
They might even point out that of all the animal species that once existed on Earth, 99% are now extinct. What’s more, if things continue on this same path towards destruction, humans will inevitably be next.
It seems to me these other-worldly geniuses could solve so many of our problems today. But since when does anyone in our limited universe take foreign immigrants seriously, even those from outer space?
