Burbank

RECOVERED VEHICLE: A juvenile was taken into custody Oct. 2 in the 8300 block of Lamon Avenue and accused of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, driving without a valid license and expired registration in connection with the recovery of a 2020 Dodge Durango stolen out of Wisconsin, police said.

Evergreen Park

ILLEGAL GUN: Eric Johnson, 58, Chicago, was arrested and accused of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon during an Oct. 11 wanted-vehicle stop at 95th Street and Campbell Avenue, after officers recovered a handgun that did not have proper state permitting, police said.

ILLEGAL GUN: Arkee D. Lee Donner, 19, Chicago, was arrested and accused of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon/felon during an Oct. 12 traffic stop in the 2500 block of West 95th Street after officers recovered a handgun in the vehicle, police said.

Frankfort Square

DUI CRASH: A Frankfort Square man who crashed at Sterling Drive and Graceland Lane Sept. 10 has been charged with drunken driving with a blood-alcohol concentration above the legal limit, according to Will County sheriff’s police and court records online. Armani Evans, 21, 7700 block of Sterling Drive, is scheduled to appear at a Nov. 6 pretrial hearing on the charge, as well as on charges of failing to yield at a stop sign and improper lane use, court records show.

Homer Glen

DUI CRASH: Michael Long, 59, 13900 block of John Humphrey Drive, Orland Park, who crashed at 143rd Street and Mallard Drive Sept. 9, is scheduled to appear in Will County court Nov. 8, charged with drunken driving and driving without insurance, according to court records online.

Homewood

BATTERY: Kacey M. Carrano, 31, 14500 block of Karlov Avenue, Midlothian, was accused of battery after grabbing the arresting officer’s hands during a Sept. 29 drunken driving arrest in the 1000 block of 183rd Street, police said. Carrano was also cited for driving in the wrong lane, police said.

New Lenox

BURGLARY: An Olympia Fields man has been charged with burglary and criminal damage to property at Cornerstone Jewelry & Engraving, 1876 E. Lincoln Highway, police said. Norman J. Williams, 32, 3400 block of Parthenon Way, was taken into custody Tuesday in Chicago Heights, police said. Store security video enabled investigators to identify the getaway vehicle used and then establish surveillance to locate Williams at a pawnshop, with jewelry identified as coming from the store, police said.

BATTERY: A former health food store employee accused of punching a juvenile employee multiple times in the head is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 20 on assault and battery charges, according to police and Will County court records online. Lucas D. Proudfoot, 18, 200 block of Sonoma Road, New Lenox, was arrested on the misdemeanor charges Sept. 3 at Protein Headquarters, 1417 E. Lincoln Highway, police said. Proudfoot took an item from the store refrigerator, went behind the counter and attempted to use the register to ring up his purchase, police said.

Oak Lawn

BURGLARY: A 19-year-old Chicago man and a 15-year-old Chicago boy suspected of burglarizing a restaurant and a bar in Evergreen Park and an Oak Lawn restaurant were taken into custody Oct. 10 at a bus stop near 95th Street and Parkside Avenue. Jarlen Loggins and the teen are suspected of breaking into Unidad, 3339 95th St., Tavern in the Green Bar & Grill, 3422 95th St., and BJ McMahon’s Bar & Grill, 5432 95th St., police said. Officers responding at 6:30 a.m. to suspicious car complaint two blocks from BJ McMahon’s and found a Hyundai Electra, determined later to have been stolen out of Chicago, and called the bar and grill’s owner after finding the glass front door shattered, police said. Investigators and the owner determined $150 was taken from the cash register and that attempts had been made to force open a safe and the video gaming machines, police said.

SEX OFFENDER: Officers arrested a tow-truck driver Oct. 9 in the 10200 block of Cicero Avenue after they spotted him littering and determined he was a convicted sex offender who last registered in 2021, police said. Darnelle Moore Jr., 55, Chicago, was convicted in Michigan of aggravated criminal sexual abuse/bodily harm stemming from an attack on a 20-year-old when he was 37, according to Illinois State Police records online. Illinois law generally requires convicted sex offenders to register annually.

Park Forest

ARMED CRIMINAL: Harold L. Guider, 21, 400 block of Indianwood Boulevard, Park Forest, was booked into the Will County jail Tuesday on a warrant charging him with being an armed habitual criminal, according to sheriff’s and court records online. Guider is also charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon in a vehicle/second and being a felon illegally using/possessing a firearm, according to court records, which show the three charges stem from a Sept. 27 incident in Park Forest.

ILLEGAL GUN: Sirrelous L. Graves, 37, Bettendorf, Iowa, was booked into the Will County jail Tuesday by Park Forest police on a warrant charging him with aggravated battery/discharging a firearm, according to sheriff’s and court records online, which show the charge stems from an Aug. 20 incident in Park Forest.

ILLEGAL GUN: Robert B. Edgecombe, 46, first block of McGarity Road, was arrested and accused of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, manufacturing/delivering a controlled substance, manufacturing/delivering cannabis, possessing a controlled substance and intent to deliver methamphetamines during a Sept. 29 burglary investigation in that block, police said.

BURGLARY: A 28-year-old Chicago woman was charged with burglary after entering a bar after hours to retrieve her cellphone from the counter, police said. Security video shows Shavonni A. Morris throwing a brick through a window at Bixby Bar & Grill, 22315 Central Park Ave., at 4:10 a.m. Sept. 30, police said. The security video also shows Morris entering through the broken window and then exiting with the electronic device, police said.

DRIVEWAY DOZING: Anthony G. Brown, 35, 500 block of Nathan Road, University Park, was arrested around 8:15 a.m. Oct. 1 in an undisclosed block of Springfield Street and accused of possessing a firearm while under the influence of drugs or alcohol after officers found him asleep with an undisclosed handgun while parked in a residential driveway, police said. Officers also cited Brown for driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs and driving without insurance, police said.
