player ready...Vinny’s Clam Bar opens in Tinley Park
Vinny’s Clam Bar celebrated its grand opening last week at 18201 S. Harlem Ave. in Tinley Park in the former Tin Fish restaurant.
Vinny’s is the 10th restaurant concept from the Scott Harris Hospitality group, which also includes a Fat Rosie’s location in Frankfort.
“We are thrilled to see Vinny’s Clam Bar come to life in the Chicago area,” said Scott Harris, CEO and founder of Scott Harris Hospitality. “Our team has been developing this unique restaurant for quite a while, and the initial reactions from our customers and our staff is amazing to see.”
Vinny’s focus is on fresh seafood and, according to the company’s website, provides a traditional East Coast aesthetic. The menu is influenced by Italian and Mediterranean dishes. Modeled on an Italian trattoria and shellfish bar, Vinny’s will offer oysters, clams, shrimp and fresh fish delivered daily from each coast.
Vinny’s uses a hearth oven cookery concept. The non-seafood menu includes handmade pasta, grilled pizzas and desserts.
Vinny’s décor reflects the influences of Italian cuisine and encourages an interactive dining experience with a central hand-washing station in the main dining room and the restaurant will offer live music each Friday and Saturday from 9 p.m. until close.
Vinny’s Clam Bar is open seven days a week at 4 p.m.
