Officers arrived just as the trio was leaving the area and were able to pull them over on a traffic stop, a post on the Naperville Police Department’s Facebook page said. An investigation linked them to two overnight vehicle burglaries, the post said.
Saul Pitones, 20, of the 700 block of Swift Road, Addison; Jaymeson Robert Pogreba, 21, of the 4800 block of North Knoxville Avenue, Peoria; and Jillian Mariah Payne, 22, of the 5500 block of North Fairmond Drive, Peoria, were arrested on felony burglary charges about 6:20 a.m. Aug. 11 in the 1500 block of Watkins Lane.
“We hope this case spotlight reminds our residents to #SeeSomethingSaySomething as well as #LockItorLoseIt, as 80% of reported residential burglaries to motor vehicles in Naperville in the first half of 2023 have been to unlocked vehicles,” a message accompanying the arrest post said.
