BANK ROBBED: Three men, at least one of them armed, robbed the Old National Bank, 4101 W. 183rd St., shortly after it opened Aug. 10, escaping with an undisclosed amount of money, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. One of the men displayed a weapon during the 9:30 a.m. holdup, but no one was injured, according to the report.
Frankfort Township
WARRANT: A Chicago Heights man wanted in Indiana for violating probation was extradited July 13, sheriff’s police said. Deputies encountered Lawrence J. Hill, 28, 1500 block of 5th Avenue, during an investigation in the 19700 block of Harlem Avenue July 5, and learned about the warrant while questioning him, sheriff’s police said. Hill was convicted in 2017 of two counts of armed robbery in connection with the 2016 holdup of a fast-food restaurant in Fort Wayne, Indiana, according to Indiana Department of Corrections records online.
Homewood
IDENTITY THEFT: Adrien Munoz, 24, 15800 block of Halsted Street, Harvey, was arrested July 27 and accused of three counts of identity theft after employees at the Illinois Currency Exchange, 807 Maple Ave., recognized him as having used a stolen credit card in three transactions July 24, police said. Munoz was also accused of illegally possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia after officers recovered undisclosed substances and undisclosed drug equipment during the arrest, police said.
THEFT: Keenan Bennett, 38, 800 block of 194th Street, Glenwood, was arrested and accused of theft July 30 after taking an employee’s wallet at a restaurant in the 17900 block of Halsted Street, police said. Bennett had items from the wallet when officers arrested him three hours later in the 18000 block of Halsted Street, police said.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Walter Turner, 61, 17700 block of Pheasant Lane, Country Club Hills, was arrested and accused of aggravated assault and simple battery Aug. 2 at 7-Eleven, 3154 183rd St., police said. Turner slapped a store clerk in the face during an argument and then drew a handgun from his waistband and approached the clerk in a threatening manner, police said.
UNWANTED TENANT: Clarence Thomas, 33, 18300 block of Cherry Creek, Homewood, was arrested Friday in the 18300 block of Cherry Creek Drive and accused of trespassing after disregarding his eviction and reentering the residence, police said.
ILLEGAL AMMUNITION: Paul Holden, 26, 3200 block of 167th Street, Markham, was arrested and accused of unlawfully possessing ammunition Saturday in the 3100 block of 183rd Street after officers serving an undisclosed warrant determined he had a live bullet and that he had been denied a firearm owner’s identification card, police said.
Monee Township
TRAILER STOLEN: An enclosed trailer reported stolen Friday from a Heatherbrook Estates subdivision residence south of Monee turned up about nine hours later in Steger. Law enforcement officers, aware of the theft, notified the Will County sheriff that the trailer was in a ditch on Sauk Trail roughly 5 miles west of Illinois Route 394.
New Lenox
AGGRAVATED BATTERY: A Downers Grove man arrested for shoplifting bit an officer in the hand and kicked at another while in lockup, police said. Officers initially arrested Andrew J. Hare Jr., 38, Friday after he took merchandise selling for $900 from Target, 2370 E. Lincoln Highway, police said. Officers added accusations of aggravated battery to a police officer and resisting arrest after the lockup incident, plus criminally damaging property after Hare damaged a squad door by repeatedly kicking it during his transfer to the Will County jail, police said.

DUI: Erin C. Harvey, 35, 12300 block of Wolf Road, Palos Park, was arrested and accused of drunken driving July 31 in the 9800 block of 143rd Street after colliding with a light pole, police said.
Park Forest
TRESPASSING: Derek L. Williams, 37, first block of Hemlock Street, Park Forest, was taken into custody on Cook County bond-forfeiture warrants for aggravated assault, trespassing to property and trespassing to land Aug. 10 after officers responded to a report of a man sleeping in the front yard of a home in the first block of Gerstung Road, police said.
Peotone Township
BURGLARY: Will County sheriff’s police say one of two men arrested Friday for entering a barn had a .38-caliber pistol with the serial numbers removed in his back pocket and a knife with a blade longer than 3 inches. Jeremy Peters, 36, Skokie, is charged with armed violence, being a felon possessing a gun with a prior conviction for possession and possessing a firearm with a defaced serial number, according to Will County circuit court records online. Peters, who also has a Chicago address, and Anthony Peters, 37, 1100 block of Schilling Avenue, Chicago Heights, are also charged with burglary and theft of something valued between $500 and $10,000, according to court records online. Sheriff’s police say the two broke into a residential outbuilding in the 29000 block of Center Road northwest of Peotone village and took a flatbed trailer, John Deere utility vehicle and gun safe before leaving and then returning to take a Polaris Ranger ATV and several tools.
Steger
ILLEGAL GUN: A Chicago man was arrested Aug. 7 after he drew a handgun and pointed it at a woman with whom he was arguing in the 3400 block of Kings Road, police said. Quoron Braggs, 23, is scheduled to appear in Will County circuit court Aug. 30 on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of being a felon illegally possessing a deadly weapon, according to court records online. Braggs was arrested under the name of Roquon Braggs and booked into the Will County jail under the name of Quorom Braggs, according to Steger police and sheriff’s records online.
ARMED ROBBERY: A crowbar wielding person pried open a video gambling device’s cash box at the Mobil gas station, 3400 Union Avenue, on Aug. 6, using the tool to fend off an employee before fleeing in a sport utility vehicle, police said.
