Lewis III was reportedly found lying unconscious in a bedroom at a central Florida home, according to the Casselberry Police Department, who said an officer used Narcan on Lewis, but there “was no change to his condition.”

“The evidence and witness accounts show this incident to be a tragic accident,” police said in a statement at the time.

Younger brother Rashaan Lewis memorialized his brother on June 15 in an Instagram Story.

“Really can’t believe I’m even typing this but RIP big brother,” he wrote over a picture of Lewis III. “A true angel, I pray [you’re] at peace now because [I know] how much you was [really] hurtin. I don’t and won’t ever have the words.”

Their father, Ray Lewis Jr., is a former linebacker who played for the Baltimore Ravens for his entire 17-year career, winning two Super Bowl championships.

After high school, Lewis III followed in his father’s footsteps — playing as a running back for the football team at his alma mater, the University of Miami. He also played for the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers and Virginia Union Panthers before ending his professional career for the Wyoming Mustangs of the Champions Indoor Football League.
