Miss reading comments in Speak Out
I was very upset and disappointed when you discontinued the Speak Out section of your paper. I looked forward to and enjoyed the opinions and. comments from readers. I really hope you would bring it back. It was one of the best parts of your paper.

Bible shows God is not all good, all powerful
Christians claim their God is all good, yet in Exodus 20:5, he says he’s jealous and will punish children for the sins of their parents. These are hardly the hallmarks of perfection and benevolence.
In Numbers 31:17-18, God commands Moses and his men to slaughter an entire village, but orders them to keep the virgin girls alive for themselves. These are the actions of a vindictive sadist, not a loving God.
And now we come to the idea of hell. If this place truly exists, God is a nonforgiving malevolent maniac. At least when people die in a normal fire, they eventually perish and are no longer in pain. But according to Christians, God will condemn 2/3 of humanity to feel the burn forever. Nice!
God either cannot or will not stop evil and suffering; if he can’t, he’s not all powerful; if he won’t, he’s not all good. An AI robot was recently asked if God exists. The answer: He does now! Let’s hope this new god is a lot more compassionate than the old one.
