An Oswego man riding a motorized bicycle was killed in a crash with an SUV late Monday night in Yorkville, officials said.

Jeffrey Faltz, 37, of the 3000 block of Wolf Road, was killed in the crash, officials with the Kendall County Coroner’s Office said in a news release Tuesday.

Yorkville police responded to the crash just after 11 p.m. on Route 34 west of Diehl Farm Road in Yorkville, officials said.

The motorized bicycle was reported to be stopped in the left-hand lane of eastbound Route 34, according to police. Police said a 22-year-old driver was traveling eastbound in an SUV when its front passenger side struck the cyclist.

Faltz was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the crash remains under investigation.
