The following items were taken from Mundelein, Vernon Hills and Libertyville police reports and releases. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

MUNDELEIN

POSSESSION OF FIREARM

Jerald L. Spivy, of Waukegan, was charged June 17 with unlawful possession of a firearm (ghost gun). Spivy was stopped for a registration violation and during the stop, Spivy was found to be intoxicated. While Spivy was taken into custody, he was found to be in possession of an unregistered handgun. Spivy was also charged as an armed habitual offender, and has a court date scheduled in Waukegan.

DUI

Anahi Antunes-Garcia, of Mundelein, was charged June 16 with driving under the influence of alcohol. Antunez-Garcia was stopped for speeding and during the stop, Antunez-Garcia was found to be intoxicated. Antunez-Garcia was also driving an uninsured vehicle. Antunes-Garcia has a court date scheduled in Waukegan.

VERNON HILLS

DUI

Ramon Rodarte Jr., 28, of the 300 block of Birchwood Court in Vernon Hills, was charged July 1 with driving under the influence of alcohol, having no insurance and disobeying a traffic control device. Rodarte has a court date scheduled Aug. 2 in Waukegan.

THEFT

James P. Hoeper, 52, of the 200 block of Wilshire Road in Lake Forest, was charged June 27 with retail theft for leaving a Target store without paying for $120 worth of merchandise. Hoeper has a court date scheduled Aug. 10 in Waukegan.

Mary R. Bassett, 46, of the 70th block of Heritage Trail in Hainesville, was charged June 25 with retail theft for leaving a Target store without paying for $87 worth of merchandise. Bassett has a court date scheduled July 13 in Mundelein.

LIBERTYVILLE

WARRANT

Michael D. Witort, 78, of Libertyville, was arrested June 30 for an out-of-state warrant out of Virginia for aggravated sexual battery. Witort had an extradition hearing and was transferred to the Lake County jail.

Nathaniel A. Mitchell, 42, of Libertyville, was arrested July 2 for a warrant out of Lake County for failure to appear in court for a DUI charge. Mitchell was transferred to the Lake County jail.

DUI

Earl W. Dunn II, 32, of North Chicago, was charged June 18 with aggravated DUI and a DUI — combined influence. Also, illegal possession of cannabis in the vehicle, failure to replace registration and having an uninsured vehicle. Dunn was transferred to the Lake County jail.

Aaron J. Palizzi, 23, of Vernon Hills, was charged June 25 with driving under the influence of alcohol. Palizzi has a court date scheduled on July 21.

Keere D. Rayford, 37, of Wadsworth, was charged June 19 with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, driving an uninsured vehicle and transportation of alcohol. Rayford has a court date scheduled for those charges on July 14. Rayford was charged again on June 28 with a DUI — combined influence, illegal possession of cannabis in the vehicle and improper lane usage. Rayford has a court date for those charges on July 21.
