player ready...An Aurora man has been found guilty of child sexual assault following a bench trial, officials said.
Kane County Judge Elizabeth Flood recently found Lewis T. Richardson, 63, of the 1600 block of Park Vista Lane, guilty of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and aggravated criminal sexual abuse, officials with the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office said in a news release.
Prosecutors said Richardson had sexual contact with the victim, whom he knew, between June 2005 and June 2017.
Richardson is due back in court on Sept. 1 for sentencing. He faces a minimum sentence of 12 years in prison.
In addition to the prison term, Richardson must register for life as a sexual offender in accordance with the law, according to the release.
