Detractors shouldn’t hide behind calls

Imagine sitting at 9 a.m. on the Fourth of July and your telephone rings and it’s a robocall blasting Mayor Keith Pekau. I can’t believe that these people can’t even refrain from their venom spewing on the national holiday concerning the birth of our nation.

You detractors have my phone number so apparently you have my address as well. Kindly come and ring my doorbell and talk to me face to face instead of hiding behind some moronic, AI-generated telephone call. I welcome meeting you face to face.

Criticism of Supreme Court not about equality

The Democrats and their surrogates in the media did not hesitate to label the Supreme Court of the United States a radical court after a majority of justices voted to uphold the Constitution in matters of preference based on race, freedom of religion and that the executive branch cannot spend funds that have not been authorized by Congress.

They cry racism, homophobia, transphobia and all their other knee jerk reactions. In the case of advantage in college admissions based on race, perhaps economic hardship should be used. Even better, how about improving freedom of choice in schools so the disadvantaged in large cities like Chicago are not forced to attend failed schools and agendas run by the teachers’ union.

Anti-Christian organizations like the ACLU and some in the LGBTQ+ community have tried to cause Christians to either forfeit their biblical beliefs or be run out of business. This, despite the fact, whether cake baker, florist, wedding photographer or web designer, the Christians involved have politely refused to do specific work requiring their artistic skills for something that is incompatible with their beliefs yet have recommended other people who would be willing to fulfill the applicant’s request. They do not hate the LGBTQ+ community and their refusal to do the work is not discrimination as some newspaper articles have projected.

They used to say what I do in my bedroom is nobody’s business. Now the activists want to stick it in the face or cram it down the throat of people who disagree with them. That, my fellow Americans, is not equality or diversity, but it is injustice.
