
A three-car detached garage was destroyed in a fire early Friday morning in Aurora, fire department officials said.
Firefighters responded to a call around 12:20 a.m. about a fire in the garage of a home in the 400 block of North View Street. The residents were at home but unaware of the fire, and were notified by Aurora police, according to a press release from the Aurora Fire Department.
Two-thirds of the garage was fully involved in fire when firefighters arrived, according to the release.

It took firefighters 15 minutes to bring the fire under control. ComEd workers were called to the scene for downed power lines caused by the fire, Aurora Fire Department officials said.
No one was injured during the fire, according to the release.
One car inside the garage sustained heavy smoke damage, officials said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
