If there’s such a thing as a perfect kite-flying day, Sunday seemed to fit the bill. The wind was ideal for grabbing kite tails and sending dozens of “air crafts” soaring yards into the sky during Naperville Park District’s annual Kite Fly at Frontier Sports Park. Overcast skies meant no sun in your eyes and offered an off-white backdrop against which the beautiful array of colorful shapes and designs — octopuses and lizards, butterflies and birds, dog faces and flags — could be viewed. Some were flown by professionals from Chicago Kite but far more went aerial thanks to the moms, dads and kids who tried their hand at some old-fashioned fun.
