Harris J. Kal, 69, of the 90th block of N. Royal Oak Drive in Vernon Hills, was charged May 20 with retail theft, for leaving a Target store without paying for $38 worth of groceries. Kal has a court date scheduled July 13 in Mundelein.
BATTERY
Jonathon Michael Mejia, 28, of Gurnee, was charged May 20 with battery for battering a customer at a GameStop store. Mejia has a court date scheduled June 9 in Waukegan.
WARRANT
Elijah J. Valladolid, 22, of the 300 block of Cherry Valley Road in Vernon Hills, was arrested for a warrant out of Lake County for failure to appear. Valladolid was turned over to the Lake County jail.

Tanner Williams, 29, of the 3000 block of Stone Gate Road in Waukegan, was charged May 20 with driving under the influence of alcohol after officers found him asleep in his car in a traffic lane. He has a court date scheduled June 9 in Waukegan.
