Thursday, the District 86 Board of Education approved the appointment of Glenbrook North High School principal Jason Markey as the new assistant superintendent.
With over two decades of experience in education, Markey has spent three years serving as the principal at Glenbrook North High School, eight years as principal and two years as assistant principal of East Leyden High School, as well as assistant principal for two years at Woodstock High School and a high school social studies teacher for seven years.
