Glass is the answer to reducing plastic waste

In the “old days,” pop and milk were sold in glass bottles. Kids collected the empty pop bottles and brought them in to exchange them for a few pennies. To go back to glass bottles for liquids wouldn’t work in vending machines. It would work in groceries and other venues that sold liquid beverages.

On another note, I received a set of glass storage containers. They’re great because they can go in the microwave, freezer and oven. Rewashing them cuts down on plastic waste, too.
