I believe Americans hope that both political parties can come up with better and younger candidates than those in their upper seventies or low eighties to run for president of the USA. Rather than elderly Biden and lunatic, criminal, senile Trump. Both parties need to find younger people like John F. Kennedy or George W. Bush’s age when they ran for president, and with the intelligence, skill and political experience to run and lead the nation.

Christian conservatives always see harm in change and equality. If something fits nicely into their Biblical perspective, then it’s good. However, anything whatsoever that involves diversity and inclusion is totally anathema to them. It’s too bad these people weren’t alive 1,000 years ago, because that’s apparently when they thought the world was a better place.

Now that the government has taken over selling cannabis on every corner for the purpose of collecting taxes to pay off their enormous debt, the old dealers don’t have to waste their time on getting people started on marijuana. They can concentrate on selling their more profitable, more potent drugs. The results are obvious. Drug use is expanding rapidly all over our country. Overdose deaths are at a record high.

We could spend trillions on our sad educational system, but if the kids themselves don’t realize that education is their way to a better life or that their parents don’t demand that they try their best at school, then any money spent to try to improve it is like sunbathing in a tornado.

Dear Jerry: Please sell the White Sox to someone who cares about winning ballgames! Your buddy Tony LaRussa didn’t develop any rookies while playing the role of manager for two years. Glaring examples: Eloy, Lenyn and Romy, on average, are hitting .141. After promising a new manager from “an organization that’s contended for championships,” fans got one from a sad Royals program with 425 losses the past five seasons. Our $18.25 million-per-year catcher has 7 RBI and 2 homers in 70 at-bats. The only upgrade over 2022 is the addition of Andrew Benintendi who’s likely wondering why he came here.
