To all those liberals accusing Republicans of sitting on their hands doing nothing for gun control and accepting donations from the National Rifle Association. There are thousands of gun laws on the federal, state and local books. None of them have teeth; useless. Nor have seen any input from liberals with suggestions that work. I have one, prohibit any sitting president from surrendering or donating $80 billion worth of weapons, munitions and military equipment to terrorist groups like the Taliban. That’s what I call gun control.

Regarding Ted Slowik’s column April 12 regarding transgender people, and including quotations from Equality Illinois. Slowik includes a quote from Equality Illinois stating there are only five trans people elected to office in Illinois, leaving trans people severely underrepresented. While this may be true, without knowing how many trans people there are in Illinois, and how many have run for office and perhaps fairly lost, the comment is meaningless. Just because one is trans, that alone shouldn’t and doesn’t mean they will necessarily win an election.

So far, I’ve seen three comments from Fox watchers about the kids running wild downtown, but I don’t recall any of those Fox watchers talking about the white Trump supporters running wild in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 6, 2021, when they did their best to destroy the Capitol and stop our government from functioning. I’m waiting for that criticism.

To Joni, Palos Hills, I agree with you a 100% to the so-called people tearing up downtown Chicago. There are help wanted signs everywhere. These teens are too lazy to earn money to buy things. Their way of thinking is to beat and steal for free with no consequences. How sad.

Just wondering why there isn’t anything much in the mainstream media about Biden’s administrative rule about people with a good credit score are going to have to pay a higher interest rate on their mortgage to pay for people who have a low credit score?
