Time to have some fun

The Supreme Court gave its approval to use the abortion pill mifepristone. O.K. women, it’s time to go out and have some more fun. Just remember that it is not right to kill with a gun, but it is all right to kill with a pill or an abortion. Really?

Don’t fall for it

I was at Jewel on Green Bay Road in Waukegan and a lowlife came up to me asking for money to help get his car from the shop. The car was being worked on and he needed 40 dollars to get it back. I just laughed. It was the same exact story another guy tried to pull on me a few months earlier. I told him I didn’t have cash. He said he would take Venmo. He said to give him my address so he could pay me back. Sorry, not giving a stranger my address, or $40. I think next time I will ask what shop the car is at and offer to pay the shop directly, just to hear what excuse comes out of the scammer’s mouth. Want to pass this along to fellow readers. It’s a common street hustle, so don’t fall for it.

Not election season

So, the price of a gallon of gas is over $4 again. Where are all the Biden supporters that sang his praises when gas went down to $3 a gallon last year? And where is the outcry for a gas tax holiday? Crickets. Pritzker isn’t up for election, don’t you know. Must not be election season.

No parking

I voted on April 4 at a school located on the north side of Waukegan. As I entered the parking lot, no parking spots were available so I had to circle the parking lot several times. Finally, a driver pulled out of a spot near a Dumpster. Since most of the voters are senior citizens and some are disabled, I suggest that schools ask their employees to park on side streets for one day and leave spots available for voters.

Appreciate

Let’s stop complaining about everything Waukegan’s trying to do to improve itself, whether it has to do with putting money into the school system or bringing revenue into this city. I’m not totally happy living here either, but good grief maybe some positive attitude could improve not only the city, but yourself as well. We have a beautiful lake and beautiful parks. Appreciate.
