Enough
Enough of putting down the president. He’s trying to do his best, but he’s fighting uphill all the time. It started from the get-go. He never had cooperation. And now it’s worse with the Republicans. All they do is give him grief. In his short time in office, he has done more for the people than Trump did in four years. With all of these disasters that have been happening, I think he has handed them very well. He has not just thrown them paper towels. Would you do better in these kind of situations? He has a lot on his plate, without the help of the other side and people putting him down. They don’t give him credit for what he’s done. All they see and hear is from people who lie about him.
Break the cycle
No surprises: In Lake County for 2022, the high school English language failure rate is low In the “well-to-do” communities, and high in the “poorer” communities. At Stevenson, 27% are below the standard, Libertyville is at 35%, and Lake Forest is at 38%. While Waukegan is at 93%, North Chicago is at 92% and Round Lake is at 89%. What does this say? Seems like we continue to fail a large percentage of our society. We as a county need to break the cycle if we want these areas to improve.
Waukegan logic
Not only are there many golf courses in the area but a perfectly fine one, Orchard Hills, was razed to make way for the Petry Sports Park and future home of a golf practice facility. Raze a golf course to be replaced with a practice facility? Waukegan logic. All of which should’ve been put by the lake, along with the field house which took out a neighborhood ball field and majestic oak trees. The city wants to promote downtown, but the Park District continues to place amenities everywhere but downtown. It still can’t provide a decent piece of ice to skate on in the winter. I still have hope, however diminishing, for the town I’ve lived in and loved for the past 60 years.
How’s that working?
To those of you who watch only Fox News: They probably won’t tell you that they’ve just paid 3/4 of a billion dollars for the lies they told about Dominion Voting Systems, all the while knowing they were lies. With the greedy goal of making more money, Fox fanned former President Trump’s lies about the election results. How’s that working for you now, Fox? Three-quarters of a billion, and counting.
