Known for its artisan-crafted furniture and home décor, Arhaus will open its new 4,500-square-foot Arhaus Studio Friday in the Main Street Promenade in downtown Naperville.

The opening will mark Arhaus’ fifth location — and first Arhaus Studio ? in Illinois.

Arhaus Studio locations offer a smaller showroom footprint where clients can work with design consultants. They’re equipped with a design center featuring cutting-edge technology, including 3D room-planning software and touch screen monitors to display pieces within a space.

In celebration of the Naperville location opening, Arhaus has promised to donate $10,000 to Habitat for Humanity International in support of their efforts to help families in the south suburbs.

New physical therapy clinic coming in May

Physical therapy clinic Ivy Rehab will open May 22 at 1624 S. Route 59 on the city’s south side.

Founded in 2003, Ivy Rehab is part of a growing network of outpatient physical, occupational, speech and applied behavior analysis therapy clinics in the Midwest, Northeast and Southeast.

The Naperville facility will be one of 32 in Illinois.

The team specializes in treating conditions, such as injuries to the shoulder, spine and neck conditions; sports injuries and muscle traumas; chronic and acute pain; geriatric conditions; work- and accident-related injuries; general strains and sprains; joint replacement recovery, neurological conditions; and vestibular and balance conditions.

Efforts are underway to turn the former location of Las Palmas Mexican restaurant on Ogden Avenue in Naperville into offices for Neuragenex, a medical facility that helps patients with pain management without drugs or surgery.

New facility to focus on chronic pain

Property slated for a car wash five years ago will be the home of a new health care facility that focuses on pain management without drugs, surgery or other invasive procedures.

Neuragenex, which specializes in chronic pain, is rehabbing the vacant former Las Palmas Mexican Restaurant building at 1150 E. Ogden Ave. for a projected opening in September.

The building that once housed Las Palmas went through foreclosure in 2017, and the Mexican restaurant moved across the street into the Ogden Mall until it was forced to close in 2020 to make way for the city’s newest Costco.

Then the 1150 E. Ogden Ave. property was eyed as a car wash facility.

In 2018 Wash-U was granted approval by the city to demolish the restaurant and build a car wash facility capable of servicing up to 160 vehicles per hour.

Plans never came to fruition, however, and Wash-U sold the .85-acre property for $1.24 million in January 2022 to SARC IL-NAPERVILLE, a limited liability company based in Missouri.
