DECEPTIVE PRACTICES
An individual reported March 21 that a previously mailed check was altered, police said. The total financial loss was $1,427.16.
An individual reported March 23 that personal information was used in an attempt to withdraw funds from the person’s checking account, police said. The attempt was not successful.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS
An unlocked 2016 Lexus IS300 parked in a lot on the 800 block of Pine Street was reported illegally entered March 21, police said. Nothing was reported stolen.
DUI
Mario A. Flores-Roa, 35, of the 1000 block of Dewey Avenue, Evanston was charged March 21 with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without taillights after he was stopped on the 400 block of Green Bay Road, police said. There is a scheduled court date of April 27.
ILLEGAL TRANSPORTATION OF CANNABIS
Sargon G. Youkhana, 31, of the 7700 block of Kenneth Avenue, Skokie was charged March 25 with illegal transportation of cannabis, driving with a suspended license, disobeying a stop sign, driving with a defective windshield and driving with suspended registration after he was stopped on the 500 block of Sheridan Road, police said. There is a scheduled court date of May 5.
