
Mayoral candidate and Cook County Commissioner Brandon Johnson has raised approximately $11.24 million in contributions to his committee, Friends of Brandon Johnson, since 2022 and more than $7 million of that has been contributed since he made the mayoral runoff on Feb. 28, according to a Tribune analysis of campaign finance records.
The progressive candidate has received his financial backing from labor groups such as the American Federation of Teachers, Service Employees International Union and Chicago Teachers Union, which combined have contributed about $8.89 million to Johnson’s campaign.
