Burbank

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: A 36-year-old Burbank woman who pointed a loaded gun at four people and fired the weapon in an apartment at an undisclosed location has been charged with aggravated assault and recklessly discharging a firearm, police said. Officers took Angel R. Steele, undisclosed address, into custody March 19 after questioning the complainants, finding the shattered remnants of a bullet in the apartment kitchen and recovering a case containing a 9 mm handgun with a bullet chambered, a magazine loaded with an undisclosed number of bullets and 25 9 mm bullets, police said.

Chicago Ridge

PRIVACY INVASION: A Chicago Ridge man’s alleged attempt to surreptitiously photograph a female shopper in a Chicago Ridge Mall store fitting room resulted in a battery accusation March 20 after she spotted and took control of a cellphone he had placed under the locked door, police said. Raul Vazquez Millan, 38, undisclosed address, was taken into custody after he crawled under the locked fitting-room door and attempted to retrieve his camera device, grabbing the woman’s arms and hands, police said. Vazquez Millan is scheduled to appear in Cook County court Bridgeview branch on the misdemeanor charge on May 25, police said.

Evergreen Park

ILLEGAL GUN: A male juvenile was taken into custody for unlawful use of a weapon during a March 10 stolen vehicle investigation at 95th Street and Sacramento Avenue after officers recovered an undisclosed handgun from him, police said.

STOLEN CAR: Damoreon Jackson, 18, Chicago, was arrested and accused of vehicular hijacking during a March 12 stolen vehicle investigation that began at a department store in the 9400 block of Western Avenue, police said. They said Jackson approached a woman as she placed purchases in her vehicle “and stated he was taking her vehicle. The victim stated she gave the offender her purse and he then fled the area in her vehicle,” police said.

ILLEGAL GUN: Kapria Brown, 21, Chicago, was arrested during a March 15 residential trespass investigation in the 9200 block of Sawyer Avenue and subsequently charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and residential trespassing after officers found a loaded handgun without a serial number in a backpack she had, police said.

EMPLOYEES THREATENED: Officers transported a person March 18 from a retail store in the 9100 block of Western Avenue to a medical facility for psychological evaluation after he threatened employees with a broken bottle, police said.

Frankfort

FORGERY ARREST: A Sauk Village woman accused of attempting to pass a bad check in Frankfort has been charged with two counts of forgery, according to Will County Circuit Court records. Frankfort officers took Cynthia R. Wallace, 52, into custody March 14 at the Old Second National Bank branch after she tried to deposit a $1,420 check bearing a different name on the front, police said. The Frankfort branch had flagged the check because Wallace had deposited a similar check, for $2,400, at the Old Second National Bank branch in Chicago Heights on March 13, police said. That deposit was followed by five ATM withdrawals totaling $2,400, police said. “A handwriting sample and statements gathered from Cynthia determined she was responsible for passing a forged check at the Chicago Heights branch and the attempt at the Frankfort branch,” police said.

Glenwood

SHOOTING: A 2 a.m. Sunday report of shots fired in the Glenwood Oaks restaurant parking lot “appears to be isolated to” two groups involved, police said. A person inside a vehicle shot at the other group during a closing time altercation, police said, adding no one was injured. The vehicle containing the shooter eluded officers, who were nearby at the time and pursued, police said.

Hazel Crest

SHOOTERS SOUGHT: Police have released a video and still shots of four males exiting a car and firing shots around 9 p.m. March 20 just west of Kedzie Avenue and Elm Drive. No one has reported being shot in connection with the incident, police said. The incident occurred next to a marked squad car parked as a visual deterrent to speeders, police said. Anyone targeted during the incident, or who has information about the shooting is asked to call the Hazel Crest Police Department Detective Division at 708-335-9640.

Homer Glen

DUI CRASH: Jody L. Watson, 48, 16000 block of Leach Drive, Homer Glen, was arrested and accused of drunken driving with a blood-alcohol concentration above the legal limit during a March 23 one-vehicle crash investigation in the 15000 block of Wheatstone Drive, police said. Watson drove down Windmill Road, across the T-intersection and into a residential front yard, stopping between a large brick light structure in the landscaping and the ditch near the roadway, Will County sheriff’s police said. Deputies found her asleep at the wheel with the engine running, police said.

Lansing

ILLEGAL GUN: Jaiton Morgan, undisclosed age, undisclosed address, Burnham, was arrested and accused of aggravated unlawfully using a weapon during a March 13 traffic stop at an undisclosed location after he was found to have a loaded handgun with a defaced serial number, police said.

ILLEGAL GUN: Aaron Smith, undisclosed age, Peoria, was arrested and accused of aggravated unlawfully using a weapon/felon March 18 at an undisclosed location after pointing a gun at a family member during an altercation, police said.

ILLEGAL GUN: Darius Cortez Sims, undisclosed age, address and town, was arrested during a March 26 disturbance investigation at an undisclosed location and accused of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon and illegally possessing a controlled substance, and also served with an outstanding Wisconsin Department of Corrections warrant, police said.

Lockport

ELDER VIOLENCE: Dexter S. Walker, 31, 318 Barry Ave., unincorporated Lockport, has been charged with nine counts of aggravated battery to a person 60 years or older and nine counts of domestic battery in connection with a March 15 incident in that block, according to Will County Circuit Court records online. Will County deputies took Walker into custody at 10:50 p.m. after he pushed the woman to the floor, punched her in the face several times with a closed fist and dragged her through the house and into the shower, police said. The woman said the attack occurred after she confronted the 5-foot-8-inch, 200-pound Walker, “because he was intoxicated and was being very loud inside the residence while others were attempting to sleep,” police said. She was transported to a hospital for medical treatment, police said.

Orland Park

ILLEGAL GUN: Brenden L. Maldonado, 19, Chicago, was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon based on a March 19 traffic stop in the 15800 block of 94th Avenue in which an officer recovered a bag containing a .38 special handgun and determined it belonged to Maldonado, who lacked a FOID card and a concealed carry license, police said. The police report did not say if the weapon was loaded.

ILLEGAL GUN: Dearius J. Young, 26, Calumet City, was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon following a March 20 traffic stop in the 800 block of Orland Square Drive in which an officer recovered a loaded undisclosed handgun with a bullet in the chamber, an attached magazine containing eight bullets, a separate magazine containing eight bullets and a loose bullet, police said. Young had no concealed carry license and had been denied a FOID card, police said.

Park Forest

ILLEGAL DRUGS: Kenneth K. Jones, undisclosed age, Sauk Village, was arrested and accused of unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of cocaine and unlawful possession of methamphetamines with intent to deliver during a March 22 traffic stop in the 300 block of North Orchard Drive after he was found to have 145 grams (5.1 ounces) of marijuana in two large bags and several small bags, 23 grams of a powerful cannabis concentrate known as THC wax, approximately 1-1/2 grams of cocaine, 17 suspected Ecstasy pills and $210 in different denominations, police said.

Posen

STOLEN CAR: A 2021 Toyota stolen out of Posen turned up in Monee March 22 or 23, abandoned at the Monee Township Highway garage.

Steger

FELONY STRANGULATION: A 33-year-old Chicago man has been charged with two counts of aggravated domestic battery/strangulation and three counts of domestic battery, according to police and Will County Circuit Court online records. Leandre T. Bouier-Clark, 33, used an extra key a little after 2 a.m. March 11 to enter a woman’s apartment in the 100 block of 34th Street, police said.

Tinley Park

AGGRAVATED STALKING: A fleet-footed Palos Park man took a few minutes to shoplift while attempting to outrun a March 21 arrest for aggravated stalking, police said. Nicholas J. Roberto, 32, of the 12900 block of 80th Avenue fled south from a motel parking lot southwest of the 183rd Street-Harlem Avenue intersection, south across six lanes of traffic on Interstate 80 and into the Kohl’s department store at Brookside Marketplace, police said. Officers apprehended Roberto outside of the store. “It was later determined that Nicholas stole shoes at Kohl’s during the foot pursuit,” police said. Officers initially had gone to the motel in response to reports of a man checking door handles in the parking lot, police said. Roberto, who was also wanted for violating an order of protection in Oak Forest, remained in the Will County Adult Detention Facility Wednesday in lieu of $100,000 bond, according to sheriff’s office records.
