Elmhurst
Assault
Leslie Martinez Loza, 19, of the 4700 block of North Sheridan Road, Chicago, was charged with two counts of criminal damage to property, aggravated assault, possession of alcohol by a minor and possession of cannabis at 10:42 p.m. March 16.
Battery
Carol Schroeder, 49, of the 900 block of South Caldwell Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged with two counts of domestic battery and resisting a peace officer at 7:05 a.m. March 17.
Erik Jones, 40, of the 9200 block of South Spaulding Avenue, Evergreen Park, was charged with battery and disorderly conduct at 8:21 p.m. March 20.
Burglary
A patrolling officer saw an unknown offender trying to open the door of a vehicle near Eggleston and Hawthorne avenues at 4:01 a.m. March 19. The offender fled in a white Kia Optima which had been reported stolen.
Early Sunday morning, March 19, one or more unknown offenders entered an unlocked vehicle in a driveway on the 400 block of South Arlington Avenue. Once inside, the suspects used a garage door opener from the vehicle to enter the garage through the overhead door. Nothing appeared to be missing from the garage. One subject went to another house on the 400 block of Arlington and entered and took an unlocked Chevrolet Tahoe. The Chevrolet Tahoe was later found abandoned in the street on the 200 block of South Grace Street.
Cannabis
Angela Rodriguez, 18, of the 1100 block of North 16th Avenue, Melrose Park, was cited for unlawful possession of cannabis at 2:52 p.m. March 16.
In the same incident, Jzevoune De Thompson, 18, of the first block of Geneva Avenue, Bellwood, was cited for improper display of license plate and possession of alcohol by a minor.
Ezinna Nnoli, 28, of the 2300 block of East 73rd Street, Chicago, was cited for possession of cannabis by a driver and improperly tinted windows at 9:03 p.m. March 16.
Criminal damage to property
A house and vehicle on the 400 block of North Berteau Avenue were reportedly hit by eggs between March 18 and March 19.
A home on the 400 block of North Maple Avenue was reportedly egged on March 18.
Deceptive practice
A resident reported that a check he mailed was intercepted and altered between March 5 and March 7. No money was lost as the transaction was flagged as fraudulent.
Disorderly conduct
A resident on the 800 block of Stratford Avenue reported March 19 that the residence was egged on two separate occasions.
Drugs
Michael Acevedo Nolfi, 34, of the 1900 block of West Ohio Street, Chicago, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance at 6:09 p.m. March 17.
In the same incident, Jezebel Talavera Matos, 27, of the 2100 block of Long Avenue, Chicago, was cited for unlawful possession of cannabis.
DUI

Andre Sawyer, 41, of the 1900 block of Warren Street, Maywood, was charged with driving under the influence and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 10:29 p.m. March 16.
Bryan Roque, 39, of the 1300 block of Medinah Drive, Itasca, was charged with felony obstruction of justice, driving under the influence, driving without insurance, transport of open alcohol, speeding and depositing material on a highway (where) prohibited at 12:42 a.m. March 18.
In the same incident, Michael Pack, 39, of the 100 block of Carey Trail, Wood Dale, was cited for open alcohol in a motor vehicle.
Sergio Gutierrez, 22, of the 3700 block of Hirsch Street, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence, possession of cannabis, illegal transport of alcohol, improper lane use and failing to signal at 2:52 a.m. March 18.
Nubia Olvera Trejo, 21, of the 600 block of East Constitution Drive, Palatine, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended driver’s license, disobeying a flashing red light and transport of open alcohol at 4:22 a.m. March 18.
Vinnecia Totty, 33, of the 200 block of West Van Buren Street, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence, improper lane use, possession of open alcohol by a driver and driving without insurance at 5:38 a.m. March 19.
David Browne, 43, of the 6100 block of Harth Court, Lisle, was charged with driving under the influence, possession of open alcohol and driving without insurance at 6:56 p.m. March 19.
Arturo Perez, 50, of the 100 block of West Highland Terrace, Round Lake Beach, was charged with driving under the influence, improper lane use, disobeying a traffic control device, making an improper stop or turn signal and possession of open alcohol at 9:23 p.m. March 20.
Antonio Pucheta-Cagal, 28, of the 200 block of Danbury Drive, Naperville, was charged with driving under the influence, driving without a valid driver’s license, driving without insurance and possession of open alcohol by a driver at 4:03 a.m. March 21.
Identity theft
A resident reported an unknown suspect used his information to open a credit card account between July 1 and Sept. 1 of last year. The account was closed with no money lost.
A resident reported that an unknown offender used his information to apply for a COVID-19 injury disaster loan between June 30 of last year and March 4.
A resident reported March 20 that an unknown suspect used his credit card number in early January for a fraudulent purchase.
A resident reported March 20 that an unknown suspect took money from his home equity loan.
A resident reported March 20 that an unknown suspect used her credit card information to make a fraudulent purchase.
A resident reported March 20 that someone hacked his cellphone, accessed his Coinbase account and withdrew money.
Theft
Edward West, 54, of the 2100 block of West Warren Boulevard, Chicago, was charged with retail theft after reportedly taking several bottles of alcohol from CVS Pharmacy, 110 W. North Ave., at 11 a.m. March 16. West allegedly committed prior thefts from Jewel-Osco, 153 E. Schiller St., and from Walgreens, 160 N. Robert Palmer Dr.
A catalytic converter was reported taken from a vehicle near Whole Foods, 215 S. Route 83, between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. March 15.
Two white men reportedly stole various grocery items from Whole Foods around 5 p.m. March 15.
Sherman Gibbs, 62, of the 6000 block of May Street, Chicago, was charged with burglary, theft and obstructing identification at 3:30 p.m. March 16 after police said he pickpocketed a wallet in Panera Bread, 108 E. North Ave.
In the same incident, Nedra Bost, 49, of the May Street address and Tyrell Frazier, 59, of the 2100 block of West Warren Boulevard, were charged with burglary and theft.
A bicycle was reported stolen from a rack in the 100 block of South Prospect Avenue on March 19.
Liquor was reported stolen from Whole Foods, 215 S. Route 83, about 4:45 p.m. March 20 by a white man approximately 30 years old.
Amanda Sweiton, 36, of the 100 block of North Addison Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged with retail theft of liquor from Jewel-Osco, 153 E. Schiller St., at 3:07 p.m. March 22.
Traffic violations
Jesus Navarro-Paz, 50, of the 100 block of Ventroba Drive, Glendale Heights, was cited for driving without a valid driver’s license and driving with suspended registration at 11:49 p.m. March 16.
Julian Robinson, 28, of the 5100 block of South Elizabeth Street, Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license and speeding at 7:59 p.m. March 17.
Jose Gonzales, 23, of the 100 block of Bridget Court, Bensenville, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license and disobeying a traffic control signal at 2:30 a.m. March 19.
Erick Avila Castellan, 38, of the 2400 block of South 58th Court, Cicero, was charged with driving without insurance, driving without a valid driver’s license and improper lane use at 9:44 p.m. March 19.
Angela Diaz, 29, of the 800 block of Stonemill Avenue, Addison, was cited for driving with registration suspended for no insurance, improper lane use and driving without insurance at 9:39 p.m. March 19.
Christian Mitchell, 24, of the 12500 block of South Ada Street, Calumet City, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license and improperly tinted windows at 7:10 p.m. March 21.
Kenneth Mayweather, 33, of the 1000 block of South 4th Avenue, Maywood, was cited for improperly tinted windows, possession of open alcohol and driving without insurance at 2:50 a.m. March 22.

Danielle Kowalkowski, 40, of the 400 block of North Evergreen Avenue, Elmhurst, was cited for failing to remain at the scene of a vehicle damage accident, driving without insurance, improper lane use and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 10:38 p.m. March 22.
