I’d like to comment on the National Transportation Safety Board allowing these self-piloting vehicles to be on the road. They’re still causing accidents. They’re doing things on their own. People don’t pay attention today when they have a regular car, does the NTSB think people are going to pay more attention when they have a self-piloting car? There should be a no way there should be self-piloting cars on the highway.

To Michael of Chicago Heights. Have you ever considered facts instead of falsehoods you hear on far-right propaganda. Critical race theory is a college level/law school course that is not taught to young children. As for the rest of your post, I would ask for evidence not just something you heard

Mark, Orland Park

To Geri of Tinley. I totally agree with you on the Fox-loving Republicans. With their tunnel vision, I bet you could sell them a bridge.

Bruce, Chicago

I see where Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders endorsed Brandon Johnson for mayor of Chicago. Does Sanders ride the CTA? Does Sanders live in Gresham, Rogers Park or Roseland? My question is, who cares?

M, Oak Forest

Yes, This concerns Brandon Johnson running for mayor of Chicago. He has stated many times he would send social workers to mediate situations, not police. He wants to put high tax increases, wants to put the head tax on each worker. This isn’t going to work, there will still be murders in the street. He won’t do anything more than what Lori Lightfoot did and the people will stand there and say we want justice when there’s slaughtering in the street. This is just ludicrous.

Ralph, Chicago Heights

Taxpayers of Thornton Township, watch your back because Supervisor Tiffany Henyard just wants your money. She can’t even manage Dolton’s financial affairs or even run Dolton and now she wants to manage your town’s finances. Maybe she can afford a property tax increase because she gets paid $277,000 a year for doing what, I don’t know. But I sure hope someone runs against her next time. She is what you call a spend-and-tax Democrat and look who supported her, Toni Preckwinkle.
