, a naked Bynes waved down a driver near downtown L.A. early on Sunday morning, saying that she was on the tail-end of a psychotic episode and then calling 911 for herself.Bynes, who appeared to be unhurt, was then taken to a police station and placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold at the recommendation of a mental health team, the outlet added. A source close to the 36-year-old said that she will likely receive care for several days.

The reported incident comes nearly 10 years after a 2013 episode in which Bynes was also placed on a 5150 hold. In that case, Bynes was detained and hospitalized after setting a small fire in front of a home in Thousand Oaks, Calif., as authorities told the Los Angeles Times.
Bynes, who starred on Nickelodeon’s “All That” and “The Amanda Show” and The WB’s “What I Like About You” in the 1990s and 2000s, was later put under the conservatorship of her mother. After nearly nine years, a judge terminated Bynes’ conservatorship in March 2022.
“In the last several years, I have been working hard to improve my health so that I can live and work independently, and I will continue to prioritize my well-being in this next chapter,” Bynes said in a statement to People at the time. “I am excited about my upcoming endeavors — including my fragrance line — and look forward to sharing more when I can.”
Bynes was scheduled to attend the ’90s Con in Connecticut over the weekend, but she canceled her appearance.

Her former “All That” costar Kel Mitchell told Entertainment Tonight at the convention that he was praying for Bynes. “It’s awesome to see she’s doing better, which is great,” Mitchell said. “We’re just continuing to pray for her on her journey, and it’s answered prayers that she’s doing a lot better.”
Bynes, who graduated from California’s Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in 2019, last acted on screen in the 2010 movie “Easy A.”
