Vehicle Theft
A 2023 Chevy rented in the 2100 block of Dempster Street was not returned and was reported stolen on March 5.
A 2014 Honda left running was stolen from the 1300 block of Brummel Street on March 7.
A 2001 Hyundai was stolen from the 2300 block of Ridge Avenue it was reported on Feb. 25.
A 2017 KIA was stolen from the 1000 block of Chicago Avenue it was reported on Feb. 27.
A 2016 KIA was stolen from the 1000 block of Darrow Avenue, Evanston, it was reported on Feb. 24.
A 2014 Toyota was stolen from the 2200 block of Hartrey Avenue on Feb. 23.
A 2012 KIA was stolen from the 800 block of Judson Avenue it was reported on Feb. 24 but was later recovered in Niles.
A 2020 KIA was stolen from the 700 block of Custer Avenue on Feb. 24.
A 2018 KIA was stolen from the 1500 block of Colfax Street on March 6.
A 2021 Ford was stolen from the 2600 block of Sheridan Road on March 5.

Attempted Vehicle Theft
There was an attempt to steal a 2018 Hyundai from the 800 block of Seward Street reported on March 7 in which the vehicle’s steering column was damaged.
There was an attempt to steal a 2014 KIA from the 900 block of Washington Street reported on March 8 in which the vehicle’s steering column was damaged.
There was an attempt to steal a 2018 Hyundai from the 800 block of Seward Street it was reported on March 4.
There was an attempt to steal a 2018 KIA from the 1000 block of Ashland Avenue reported on March 1 in which one of the vehicle’s windows was broken and the steering column damaged.
There was an attempt to steal a 2018 Jeep from the 700 block of Hinman Avenue on Feb. 25 in which one of the vehicle’s window was broken and the steering column was damaged.
There was an attempt to steal a 2019 Hyundai from the 300 block of Hamilton Street reported on Feb. 23 in which one of the vehicle’s windows was broken and the steering column was damaged.
Domestic Battery
Vanisha T. Roberts, 41, of the 800 block of Washington Street, Evanston, was charged with domestic battery in the 800 block of Washington Street on March 9.
Drugs
Leslie Michael Adams, 45, of the 3400 block of North Laramie Avenue, Chicago, was charged with possession of a controlled substance in the 1800 block of Asbury Avenue on March 7.
Robert Earl Gunn, 44, of the 100 block of Custer Avenue, Evanston, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in the 600 block of Sherman Avenue on March 4.
Battery
Clifford H. Kraut, 77, of the 6400 block of North Francisco Avenue, Chicago, was charged with battery at the Evanston police department in the 1400 block of Elmwood Avenue on March 2.
Jonathan Perez, 27, of the 1900 block of Brown Avenue, Evanston, was charged with battery at the Evanston police department in the 1400 block of Elmwood Avenue on Feb. 28.
Theft
Purses, wallets and portable electronic were stolen from a grocery cart at a Jewel Food Store in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue on March 2.
Home Invasion
There was a home invasion in the 600 block of Brummel Street on March 4 in which money was taken. No injuries were reported.
Retail Theft
Randal B. Cruz De Arce, 29, of the 1000 block of South 26th Avenue, Milwaukee, was charged with retail theft in the 2200 block of Oakton Street on March 3.
Otis M. Graham, 51, of the 1400 block of Chicago Avenue, Evanston, was charged with retail theft in the 2400 block of Howard Street on Feb. 25.
Criminal Sexual Assault
Lorenzo F. Pleasant, 49, of the 3900 block of Monroe Street, Bellwood, was charged with criminal sexual assault in the 1900 block of Darrow Avenue on March 3.
Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon

Dallas Durman Reid, 18, of the 2300 block of Dempster Street, Evanston, was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon in the1800 block of Lake Street on Feb. 25.
Theft
Money was stolen from a hospital room at Evanston Hospital in the 2600 block of Ridge Avenue it was reported on Feb. 27.
Residential Burglary
Computer hardware and software were stolen from a residence in the 700 block of Hartrey Avenue on March 8.
Bicycles were stolen from a garage in the 1700 block of Hinman Avenue on Feb. 27.
Jewelry was stolen from a residence in the 2300 block of Asbury Avenue it was reported on Feb. 27.
A bicycle was stolen from a building in the 2200 block of Sherman Avenue it was reported on Feb. 20.
Burglary
Construction site tools were stolen from a construction trailer in the 2100 block of Maple Avenue on Feb. 24.
