Homer Glen residents, your Village Board is out of control. This past Wednesday, they passed another million-dollar parking lot at Heritage Park, 355 spaces being added. I thought this was a park? Another $400,000 monument for veterans with only one bid, $135,000 land use surveyor hired for a town center. How often do you use Heritage Park? Wouldn’t you like to see some improvements in your subdivisions instead of Heritage Park? Bell Road and 143rd streets are being widened and 159th has already been done. Zero developments.

I had a dream the other night that Trump had won the 2020 election and he instituted passage of some of off-the-wall policies. This build back infrastructure bill would subsidize big oil companies to build bigger and better oil wells all over the United States, some in the Grand Canyon, some in Yosemite National Park, even some on the White House property, and then sell all of his oil overseas to Europe including Russian and maybe even to Saudi Arabia. Now, that’s a president the Republicans would be proud of.

The Daily Southtown makes a very poor choice and putting Gail Collins comments on the opinion page.

Every time I watch Brandon Johnson TV commercials, I noticed the volume on my TV goes twice as loud as before. I wonder how they do this and isn’t this illegal to do? I wish they would investigate this.

Thank you to Donna Vickroy for writing the article on the selfish dog owners who irresponsibly allow their dogs to be off leash in public places. The only place that your dog should be off leash outdoors is in your own fenced in backyard or a dog park. No exceptions. Plain and simple, if your dog is off leash you are not in control of your dog no matter how well trained you believe your dog to be. Don’t be a bad neighbor and pet owner obey the leash law.
