Public deserves better
Kevin McCarthy said he gave the Jan. 6 security tapes to Fox Anything But News for “transparency,” so the watchers could, “see what happened that day.” Tucker Carlson handpicks bits that show no violence — the violence everybody in the world saw but him. You would think a network being sued for $1.6 billion for lying about a voting machine company, thus duping the network’s viewers into believing the “Big Lie” that Biden lost the election, would not continue to lie. Rupert Murdock should have him fired. The public deserves better.
We have a choice
MEGA stands for Make Elite Great Again. So, we have a choice: We’ve got to make America great and all the people in it, or make just the elites great so that they can run roughshod over every aspect of your life.

Sorry to say that Waukegan Mayor Ann Taylor’s midterm grade is a D-. As a lifelong resident of Waukegan, I cannot identify one thing that she and her administration have achieved over the last two years. Everything has gotten worse. No new businesses or industries beyond vice peddling, city streets are a disgrace, violent crime is at an all-time high, speeding and running stop signs is a citywide phenomenon, parkways are littered with beer cans and liquor bottles, no progress on downtown and lakefront initiatives and no progress on cleaning up environmental hazard sites. All we have is a person who is obsessed about one thing — ramming her city manager initiative through without engaging and educating the public. She needs to either get real about what Waukegan needs or get out. She has been a disaster and is wasting valuable time and resources.
Be smart
For those of you handing money over to our local panhandlers: I caught three regulars farther off the street in an inlet smoking a crack pipe. Be smart and don’t support their drug addictions. If you want to donate, give to legitimate charities in your community, or to your local churches for their food banks.
Disgusting and perverted
How old does your child have to be to get a tattoo? Why is it OK to remove sexual organs from a child without the parents’ consent, when for a tattoo you need consent from the parent or guardian or both, or they also have to be present? This country is disgusting and perverted.
