There’s a TV show called “Poker Face” where a woman can instantly and accurately tell if a person is lying. When she hears a lie she says BS. Imagine the impact of her being a panelist at political debates or news conferences. That would hold politicians feet to the fire!

Why is it that all the haters of Chicago and Lori Lightfoot live in the suburbs. I think unless you are paying taxes there you should worry about what’s happening in your perfect little towns. Or maybe it is an easy way to criticize any and all Black politicians in a not-so-subtle way. One thing I know, downtown Chicago looks 1,000 times better than downtown Chicago Heights.

Isn’t it amazing that you can be a police officer or firefighter and get COVID-19 while on duty and the pension board rules against you, and four of them are picked by Mayor Lori Lightfoot. Something is wrong with that picture. Chicago Treasurer Melissa Conyears-Ervin is on that board and her and City Clerk Ana M. Valencia defended their 20.5% pay raise. But the pension board can deny full disability benefits.

Tom from Burbank, Donald Trump was taking bimonthly if not weekly golf vacation outings mostly to his clubs that would benefit him from the American taxpayers footing exorbitant bills. Trump took more vacations and away from the job time than any president or elected official in American history. How are you familiar with South Bend politics, economic history or quality of life environment of the city? Did you live there, or are you fabricating and preaching false information like Fox News does?

The only reason religions have survived for so long is because their adherents so fervently desire them to be true. Like an evangelical once told me many years ago, if I ever found out that God doesn’t exist, that heaven is not an actual place, or that Jesus wasn’t divine, nothing in the world would matter to me anymore. Regardless of your beliefs, that sentiment is downright frightening!
