Tribune policies have moved beyond ridiculous. Dropping “Dilbert,” the most thoughtful cartoon, because of racist remarks puzzles me. I’ve reviewed “Dilbert” cartoons from recent editions and find nothing racist. The Tribune has become a typical, intolerant, woke, leftist news source, allowing no diversity of thought or opinion. I’ll get my daily dose of “Dilbert” humor online, and find my news elsewhere.

Regarding President Biden’s bid for reelection in 2024, the question brought up is if he is too old? Well, age doesn’t really matter? A person who’s 83 could be just as sharp as someone who’s 21. The real question is does he have all of his marbles intact? And that’s a question the voters will have to decide for themselves.

Paul, Tinley Park and Denny, Orland Park, you are both correct. In a capitalist society, you don’t stay in business if you don’t make money. A news station that doesn’t make money doesn’t exist unless of course it is supported by the federal government. One way our government can become tyrannical is if we voted for it. What makes you so sure that cannot happen? Our First Amendment and Second Amendments are in jeopardy with the government in charge.

Tom from Burbank implies that Pete Buttigieg is both glib and incompetent and only got his job because he’s gay. That’s ludicrous. He’s an articulate, multilingual Harvard and Oxford graduate, a well-regarded mayor by many and served in the U.S. Navy Reserve as an intelligence officer. Regarding time off, since the former president golfed nearly 300 times at an expense to taxpayers of $142 million, I’d say taking a little time to care for newborns is quite admirable.

To Biden and all the Democrats, that money that is owed from the students loans needs to be paid back and that money needs to be put into the Social Security fund so it can be solvent for future generations. And replace the money that so many of the politicians have stolen from it in previous years.

When will people realize that even if you take away the guns from law-abiding citizens, the bad guys will always find a way to get them?
