He called out the numbers of companies in America who are profiting millions of dollars but paying zero in taxes, but stated under his leadership they will be paying 15%. He went over a list of everything his party had accomplished since he took office, but stated there’s so much more to do. There was some loud outbursts coming from Marjorie Taylor Green who called him a liar, but that did not stop him. I was proud of our president.

We’ve all heard the adage and Ted Slowik’s column on Cook County property taxes brings some explanation why, whether you live in the named towns or not, our Cook County property taxes are so high. Combine the high nonpayment rates with the multitude of costs stemming from crime, violence and unsuccessful social services, thousands of abandoned properties that can’t be given away and the imminent waste we’ve come to expect from government, and it’s no wonder we have some of the highest property taxes in the nation.

So, the Walmart in Homewood is closing. One of the reasons given is the store hadn’t performed as expected. Well, let’s see, there is internal theft, external theft, waste by customers and employees among many factors. To the average customer, these reasons do not matter. But the store is a business, it is expected to meet a goal, it is not Catholic Charities. Remember, it is the customer who makes or breaks a store.

In his current campaign speech, Donald Trump had a great idea/way to stop teachers from imposing all their far left, radical, CRT, woke teachings on K-12 kids. Simply, enacting his proposed abolish tenure act in which those caught teaching it were fired without a chance for teaching employment again. Trump wants to put parents back in charge.
