Full of hot air

Trump Fantasy Syndrome is a real thing. We’ve got people out there actually writing in to the paper saying that Trump should be president. No, he shouldn’t, and if you applaud Trump’s efforts to overthrow the U.S. government, you truly have no idea what democracy and being American is. Also, Trump was never able to catch one of those Chinese balloons, while Biden was the first to do so. To think that’s the first balloon the Chinese have used to spy on us is incredibly naive. They have been doing that for decades. Like the Chinese balloons, you are full of hot air.

Spewing one-sided hate

Why isn’t anyone talking about the surveillance balloons that passed over America, without interception during the Trump presidency? Not a thing was done to stop those balloons from gathering information. This is real dereliction of duty. Competency matters. Know the facts before spewing one-sided hate.

Owning up to the truth

I use to look forward to reading “Talk of the County,” but now it’s just one-sided. So many lies and the truth is never told. For one thing, what the Republicans do is passed onto the Democrats. They lie that the Democrats are the ones who are doing what they are doing. People just repeat what they hear from Fox News, and don’t check it out. I know that both sides are not honest. Everyone makes mistakes and tries to cover it up. But be honest about it, and tell the truth instead of saying someone else did it. I have noticed the Democrats will own up to it, while the Republicans will lie and say it never happened, when there is proof that they did. Now I don’t even read what people write because they seem to blame others instead of owning up to the truth.

Kidnap the writer

The idiot who wrote that we should do away with the FBI, the Department of Justice, etc., should educate themselves about what those entities do. Perhaps someone should just kidnap the writer and see if they still don’t want the FBI involved. That is one facet of their existence.

That’s just dumb

So when hundreds of parents come to the proposed center in Waukegan to register their kids for school, where will they park? That parking area is small. Will they take all the street parking, too, so store customers will just go somewhere else? That building should be administration offices only. And the logistics of people parking, walking to the food pantry, waiting in line and hauling groceries a block to their cars? That’s just dumb.
