Burglary
A resident on the 300 block of East Ridge Avenue told police she believed an unknown suspect entered the residence in her absence between 5:30 p.m. and 8:40 p.m. Feb. 8. There were no signs of forced entry and nothing was taken, but several items were out of place.
Cannabis
Nikko Sutton, 32, of the 1800 block of South 14th Avenue, Broadview, was cited for improper lane use and possession of cannabis at 3:48 a.m. Feb. 2.
In the same incident, Jessica Carrillo, 23, of the 2N100 block of Wisconsin Avenue, Villa Park and Reymond Davis, 37, of the 400 block of South Farwell Street, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, were cited for possession of cannabis.
Disorderly conduct
Duane Allen, 55, of the 7100 block of South Vincennes Avenue, Chicago, was charged with obstructing identification and disorderly conduct at 7:15 a.m. Feb. 3.
DUI
Dawid Jaskiewicz, 38, of the 9400 block of South Melvina, Oak Lawn, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and transport of open alcohol by a driver at 5:07 a.m. Feb. 5.
Identity theft
A resident reported on Feb. 3 that an unknown suspect used her information to open a Bank of America account, also filing a report with the Federal Trade Commission.
Another resident reported on Feb. 4 that an unknown suspect used her information to open a Bank of America account, later closed.
A resident told police on Feb. 7 that an unknown person had tried to use her late husband’s information to open a Capital One credit card account.
Theft
A resident reported on Feb. 3 that he had transferred funds electronically for a rental property before realizing it was a scam after he was unable to contact the suspect.
A front license plate was reported stolen from a vehicle on the fourth level of the Addison parking deck, 149 N. Addison Ave., between noon and 7 p.m. Feb. 3.
Steven Caruso, 67, of the 1800 block of Riverwoods Drive, Melrose Park, was charged with theft from a place of worship and disorderly conduct at 5:53 a.m. Feb. 7 after allegedly causing a disturbance and taking money from a church donation box in Visitation Catholic Church, 799 S. York St.
An unsecured Nishiki girl’s Pueblo mountain bike was reported stolen from a rack in Wilder Park, 175 S. Prospect Ave., between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Feb. 7.
Theft by deception
A resident reported that between Jan. 31 and Feb. 4 she spoke to an unknown person who claimed to be an attorney for a family member the caller said needed money. The resident was asked to make three separate deposits to a Bitcoin machine. She later spoke to the family member and realized she had been deceived.
Traffic
Ricardo Lara Ponce, 20, of the 200 block of North West Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged with driving with improperly tinted windows and without a valid driver’s license at 11:44 p.m. Feb. 3.
Treve Vance, 28, of the first block of East Webster Street, Joliet, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license, driving without insurance, driving with revoked registration, unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver and operating a vehicle with a defective window at 8:45 p.m. Feb. 5.

Treve Vance, 28, of the first block of East Webster Street, Joliet, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license, driving without insurance, driving with revoked registration, unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver and operating a vehicle with a car window in defective condition at 8:45 p.m. Feb. 5.
Darius Mann, 30, of the 1600 block of Astor Avenue, Oakbrook Terrace, was charged with driving with a revoked driver’s license, driving without insurance, obstructing identification and speeding at 12:59 a.m. Feb. 6.
Rigoberto Carillo Godinez, 27, of the 1000 block of West Irving Park Road, Bensenville, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license and disobeying a traffic control signal at 8:16 p.m. Feb. 8.
Unlawful use of a credit card
A heavyset white male reportedly used a fraudulent credit card to purchase food from Hunan Palace Chinese Restaurant, 583 N. York St., at 10 p.m. Jan. 27.
