It’s been a long time since anyone accused a Republican politician of being a class act and judging from what happened on Tuesday night it’s going to be a much longer wait.
Love letter response: To the person who wrote a love letter to Ron DeSantis, you might want to ask Floridians how they like being billed hundreds of dollars a year to pay off their governor’s senseless vendetta against Disney!
Protecting Social Security: Funding the Social Security Trust fund into the foreseeable future is easy: 1) Eliminate the cap on wages subject to the Social Security tax, but keep the current wage cap rules on crediting wages used to compute benefits. That cap is adjusted for annual COLA’s and is currently set at $160,200.00. More money coming into the fund and no changes of any kind needed for computing or obtaining benefits. 2) Prohibit “borrowing” from the trust fund, of course.

Profiting from fear: As I listen to all the comments on the news about gun control, I would like someone to explain to me why anybody other than farmers and people in rural areas need weapons of war in their homes. What exactly are you afraid of? Unless you have them loaded and next to your bed, what good are they? I am a gun owner, just for the record, and no one is coming to take our guns away. This is all about gun manufacturers profiting from fears.
