player ready...Park Ridge’s breakfast and lunch crowd will soon have a new option at 90 Northwest Highway with the opening of Mr. Stacks breakfast, brunch and lunch restaurant where Eggsperience was formerly located.
Owner Elsayed Elbanna said the restaurant expects to open for business in late March in what will be its fifth location. Those who know the restaurant from one of its current four locations might know it as Stacks, but Elbanna said the restaurant’s name changed just last month.
Elbanna said Mr. Stacks began looking into opening a Park Ridge location about six months ago, and signed a lease on the property around the new year. He’s optimistic about the reception the restaurant will get upon opening.
“We spent some time around the area, around the neighborhood, and we felt like this is a really good area,” he said.
Currently, Elbanna said the restaurant space is getting some updates to floors, walls, booths and lighting for “the Mr. Stacks touch.” They’re hoping to begin welcoming diners in late March.

Elbanna said Park Ridge residents who may not have visited another Mr. Stacks restaurant should expect “great food, great service [in] a very family friendly environment, serving a very large variety of menu items.”
Those unsure of what to order for breakfast might try the spinach and bacon omelet with Swiss cheese and hollandaise, Elbanna said.
At lunchtime, “the burgers are a hit,” he added.
Those who know Mr. Stacks from its outposts in Tinley Park, Chicago Heights, Cicero and Melrose Park should expect more of the same, he said.
“We just want to keep doing what we’ve been doing,” Elbanna said. “We’ve been just having our guests come in and leaving as happy as possible.”
