DUI: Cynthia K. Finger, 65, 13100 block of Sparrow Court, Homer Glen, was arrested and accused of drunken driving with a blood-alcohol concentration above the legal limit and failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision Feb. 1 at Bell Road and Woodland Drive after rear-ending an unoccupied parked sedan and then rolling over the sport utility vehicle she was driving, Will County sheriff’s police said.

BATTERY: David Quiroz Jr., 34, of the 4000 block of 106th Street, Oak Lawn, was taken into custody Jan. 19 on a battery charge stemming from an altercation in which a person was punched in the face on Nov. 2 in the 1300 block of Willow Road, police said.
BATTERY: Charles Sheffield, 56, of the 14500 block of Vail Avenue, Dixmoor, was taken into custody Jan. 25 in that town on a battery charge alleging he had punched another person in the face earlier that day in the 18300 block of Kedzie Avenue, police said.
Lockport
DRUNKEN DRIVING: A Lockport man was arrested and accused of aggravated drunken driving/revoked license and aggravated drunken driving/third DUI Monday at an undisclosed location, according to Will County Sheriff and Will County Circuit Court records. Lockport police, who arrested Lukasz Glod, 37, 1500 block of Oak Run Court, also accused him of having a blood-alcohol concentration above the legal limit and lacking insurance, according to sheriff’s records online.

ILLEGAL GUN: Rianne S. Harris, 31, Chicago, was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and accused of improperly possessing ammunition after officers recovered a 9 mm handgun with a bullet in the chamber and a loaded attached magazine under her seat without a FOID card during a Feb. 1 traffic stop on Orland Square Drive, police said. Harris, who had an undisclosed amount of marijuana in two foil packages, was also accused of improperly transporting cannabis in a motor vehicle and driving on a revoked license, police said.
EMPLOYEE THEFT: Talyn N. Hawkins-Thompson, 22, 4100 block of Russet Way, Country Club Hills, was charged with committing a continuing financial crime enterprise Jan. 30 at Macy’s, 1 Orland Square Drive, after using her employee status to steal merchandise collectively selling for $7,212.46 on several occasions in December and January, police said.
RETAIL THEFT: Deangelo D. McShane, 25, Joliet, Darnell Wynn, 26, Chicago, Denzell E. Wynn, 21, 1800 block of 163rd St., Markham, and Shanice S. Wynn, 29, Joliet, were charged with burglary after stealing merchandise selling for $3,216.37 Jan. 24 theft at Costco Warehouse Club, 9915 159th St., police said. Darnell distracted employees while Deangelo and Denzell stole 51 bottles of tequila and 21 bottles of cognac, with Shanice driving the getaway vehicle, police said.
IDENTITY THEFT: Mellie M. Weekly, 57, Chicago, was charged with aggravated identity theft and Simmons Mays Jr., 57, Chicago, was arrested and accused of illegally possessing another person’s identification during a Jan. 23 wallet-theft investigation that began in the checkout lane at Meijer, 15701 71st Court, and encompassed approximately $1,500 in fraudulent purchases at two other stores, police said. Officers investigating the snatching of a 70-year-old person’s wallet questioned Mays — who matched a description of the thief — as he sat in a parked car, police said. The officers took Weekly into custody after she used credit cards from the stolen wallet to buy five fragrances and $800-worth of gift cards from Macy’s, 1 Orland Square Drive, and to purchase — and then trash — a jacket at Going, Going, Gone!, 15852 LaGrange Road, police said. Officers recovered two Macy’s department store bags containing merchandise collectively selling for $626.67 and also served Weekly with four arrest warrants, from Oak Forest for financial identity theft, McLean County for failing to appear in court on intent to commit theft by deception, Lake County, Indiana, for fraudulently obtaining property and Kenosha, Wisconsin, for fraudulently using a credit card in a financial transaction. Weekly was being held without bond in Cook County Jail Wednesday, according to sheriff’s records online.

THEFT: Michael O. Wright II, 23, Westchester, was arrested Feb. 1 in the 6600 block of College Drive and accused of taking possession of another’s check and electronically depositing it in his bank account on Dec. 7, police said.
ILLEGAL AMMUNITION: Laniya K. Reed, 21, 1000 block of Amherst Lane, University Park, was arrested and accused of illegally possessing ammunition during a Jan. 30 traffic stop in the 11900 block of 70th Avenue after officers recovered two magazines loaded with 9 mm ammunition and determined she lacked a FOID card, police said.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY: Demetrius J. Thomas, 38, 1500 block of Euclid Avenue, Chicago Heights was arrested Saturday near the intersection of Juniper Street and Forest Boulevard for aggravated battery in the 300 block of Juniper Street, police said. Thomas entered an elderly acquaintance’s home through an open door, demanded repayment of a loan and then grabbed her wrist, striking her chest, head and mouth directly and with thrown household items, police said.

BATTERY: Kimberly M. Adams, 25, 21500 block of Locus Street, Matteson, was arrested and accused of aggravated battery in a public place and domestic battery Feb. 3 at Buffalo Wild Wings, 7301 183rd St., according to Will County Circuit Court records online.
