Naperville house on Needham Road left uninhabitable after fire does about $150,000 in damage

A home not far from the Naperville Country Club was left uninhabitable Tuesday night after a fire caused about $150,000 in damage, the Naperville Fire Department said.

Firefighters were alerted to the blaze about 8:20 p.m. by a resident who arrived home to find their two-story, single-family house in 1100 block of Needham Road filled with smoke, a news release said.

Two dozen fire department staff and 10 pieces of equipment were used to control the fire by about 8:45 p.m. and remained another hour to ensure it did not restart, officials said.

The source of the blaze is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
