Try the Army
I’m amazed how the sports page can go gaga over cheating Tom Brady. You gotta remember this guy’ got a lot of his records piled up when he was behind Bill Belichick, the guy that was cheating and getting the plays by having people cheat. All those wins and all those Super Bowls were thanks to cheating Tom Brady deflating footballs so he could throw them better. The guy’s a cheat. You ought to go for real heroes. Try the Army, the Navy, the Air Force and the Marines, not cheating Tom Brady.
In the fight
I’m calling nonsense on the contributor who said teachers don’t care about your children in classes. He said they want to just fudge the scores and get your kids out. That’s ridiculous. It is the administration that’s at fault, not the teachers. The teachers work hard trying to get the students to learn something, but in most school districts where the parents don’t discipline their children, they have major discipline problems from some students and they can’t even send them home anymore because the administrators have told them they have to deal with it. Get off the teachers’ backs. They’re the ones who are in the fight.
Fear of being shot down
I ask you, if Donald J. Trump, who should be president, was still president, would these balloons be flying over our airspace for fear of being shot down? I think you know the answer to that question if you have any brains in your head, but I am talking to Democrats here. But I doubt they get the weight of the statement.
Get your facts straight
I figured some Trump moron would call in and say that he ran up the deficit because of COVID. To the reality- and memory-challenged fellow that called in, let me tell you some facts my friend. In 2017, the Republicans created a $2 trillion tax cut bill for all the rich Republicans and the big corporations. That was in 2017, my friend. COVID did not come around until 2020. I’m sorry that you don’t remember that, but those are the facts of the matter. They ran the $2 trillion bill up in 2017, which was two years before COVID. So, before you call in next time, please get your facts straight.
Common-sense gun law
So Durbin and Schneider want laws to force gun stores to lock up the guns when they are not open, stating that jewelry stores lock up their goods when closed. Well, there is no law that makes them do that, and one or two rings could be worth more than all the guns in many stores. They’re also much easier to lock away. They whine that they may not be able to get this to pass because Republicans will block it. Why don’t they get really tough on crime instead, something that Republicans and the NRA are all for. Put a thief behind bars for 30 years to life, since you know those guns will be used in crimes, and you will see no problems getting that through, That is a true common-sense gun law. Oh, then actually enforce them and the other laws already on the books.
