Traffic was rerouted for two hours Monday morning following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Chicago Avenue and Olesen Drive where a 77-year-old Naperville man was injured, according to a Naperville police report.

The report stated that a black Audi driven by the 77-year-old was headed north on Olesen Drive approaching Chicago Avenue as a black Cadillac, driven by a 74-year-old from Naperville, was traveling west on Chicago Avenue.

Police said the initial investigation indicates the Audi ran the red light and struck the Cadillac.

The driver of the Audi was transported to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The Naperville Traffic Unit shut down a portion of the intersection of Chicago Avenue and Olesen Drive until approximately 11 a.m. to reconstruct the crash.
