Vehicle Theft
A 2011 GMC truck rented from a U Haul in the 2100 block of Dempster Street on Jan. 6 was reported stolen on Jan. 24 after it was not returned.

Attempted Vehicle Theft
There was an attempt to steal a 2021 KIA in the 200 block of Ridge Avenue reported on Jan. 23 in which the steering column of the vehicle was damaged by the vehicle was not taken.
There was an attempt to steal a 2017 Hyundai from the 600 block of Brummel Street on Jan. 22.
There was an attempt to steal a 2018 Jeep from the 800 block of Emerson Avenue it was reported on Jan. 12. The vehicle’s steering column was damaged.
Robbery
There was a robbery from a store in the 1600 block of Emerson Street on Jan. 15 in which the suspect subject struck a clerk with a bottle and fled with proceedsfrom the store.
Theft Over $500
A secured bicycle was stolen from the 2000 block of Sherman Avenue on Jan. 18. Amount of loss exceeds $500.
Electronics were stolen from a business in the 1000 block of Grove Street on Jan. 17. Amount of loss exceeds $500.
A wallet with credit cards was stolen from a business in the 700 block of Church Street on Jan. 16. Amount of loss exceeds $500.
A computer was stolen from a residence in the 1700 block of Payne Street it was reported on Jan. 17. Amount of loss exceeds $500.
Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon
Xavier L. Frye, 34, of the 1800 block of Emerson Street, Evanston, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon in the 1700 block of Dodge Avenue on Jan. 14.
Domestic Battery
Patrick Chubaka, 21, of the 2200 block of Foster Street, Evanston, was charged with domestic battery in the 2200 block of Foster Street on Jan. 27.
Iliana E. Lazar, 30, of the 700 block Oakton Street, Evanston, was charged with domestic battery in the 700 block of Oakton Street on Jan. 15.
Charles A. Chinn, 52, of the 300 block of Dempster Street, Evanston, was charged with domestic battery in the 300 block of Dempster Street on Jan. 23.
Ryan Ward, 31, of the 1600 block of Ridge Avenue, Evanston, was charged with domestic battery in the 1600 block of Ridge Avenue on Jan. 22.
Trespass
Darren Lunford, 39 and homeless, was charged with trespass in the 900 block of Maple Avenue on Jan. 26.

Aggravated Assault
Chikuru C. Chubaka, 18, of the 2200 block of Foster Street, Evanston, was charged with aggravated assault in the 1900 block of Dempster Street on Jan. 24.

Ligaya M. Levi, 53, of the 800 block of Ridge Avenue, Evanston, was charged with battery in the 800 block of Ridge Avenue on Jan. 22.
Criminal Damage to Property
Xavier Jay Richards, 31, of the 3300 block of Hartzell Street, Evanston, was charged with criminal damage to property in the 2800 block of Central Street on Jan. 17.
DUI
Marina Cruz, 41, of the 5600 block of Santa Barbra Street, Hanover Park, was charged with DUI at the Evanston police department in the 1400 block of Elmwood Avenue on Jan. 13.
Armando P. Garcia, 42, of the 6500 block of North Leavitt Street, Chicago, was charged with DUI in the area of Sherman Avenue and Emerson Street on Jan. 15.
Mark L. Printis, 61, of the 2000 block of Oakton Street, Evanston, was charged with DUI in the 900 block of Dodge Avenue on Jan. 13.
James H. Edwards, 66, of the 1900 block of Howard Street, Evanston, was charged with DUI in the area of Howard Street and Custer Avenue on Jan. 19.
