Believe it or not
Why does this country have so many mass shootings? It is an easy answer. No just or severe punishment for the shooter. They may be put in jail for a short time, and that comes with free room and board. Also, recreation in the jail yard, so they stay healthy while the victims rot away in a casket. Just ask the Illinois governor, because he wants to empty the jails and let the prisoners run loose again. A gun or weapon will not shoot anybody without the help of a trigger finger. Believe it or not.
Understand?
To “Explain that”: It was OK for Trump to add $8 trillion — that’s with a “T”– to the deficit because massive deficit spending was necessary during the COVID-19 crisis to ward off an economic collapse. Now it is time to reduce. Does that explain it to you?
Two problems
Waukegan has two school board problems. First, they cannot inspire capable candidates to run for the positions. Second, that has led to the current board, which seemed incapable of figuring out an equitable salary schedule for their 98 school administrators. Instead, they paid big bucks to a consulting company to do that for them.
How unfortunate
Lake County Coroner Banek is being sued by an ex-employee over the retired county cadaver dog, Bones. How unfortunate. It involves alleged vindictive action by Coroner Banek and a loss of taxpayer money for the county to defend her. If the accusations are established and a financial award is granted, Ms. Banek should resign or be recalled. I believe we need a coroner who can successfully manage his or her office without wasting our tax dollars on personal vendettas and the resultant lawsuits.
Foolish and ignorant
I didn’t think it was possible to get someone more foolish and ignorant than the Bone Spur people, but then you have someone saying we should check to see if the men, women, and children that are being raped and murdered for the collaborative monetary profit of Putin and Zelenskiy.
Start doing your job
The first thing the city of Waukegan code enforcement department has to do is apply the law equally for everybody. And I mean everyone. I don’t care if you’re Black, white or indifferent. We all have to follow the same rules, but I see with the city of Waukegan, they’re very selective as to who they apply the laws to. We have tons of people parking on the grass in their backyards, in their side yards, in their front yards, and it’s quite evident. And yet your weekend warriors don’t do their jobs. Start doing your job.
